Pack light and bring casual clothes.  A good pair of walking shoes is essential.  Since China has a
wide range of climates, consider packing items that can be layered to accommodate the climate
changes.  Conservative clothes are generally acceptable.  Revealing clothes should be avoided since
they may offend.  If you know you'll need to attend a formal occasion, a business suit and tie for men and a dress for women will be sufficient.  Most hotels offer laundry and dry cleaning services.
